Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill Welcomes Guillaume Paupy as New General Manager and Area Vice President

July 11, 2025

Luxury, five-star hotel, Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is pleased to announce the appointment of Guillaume Paupy as its new General Manager. Paupy also assumes the role of Area Vice President for Hyatt in the UK and Ireland, overseeing a growing portfolio of Hyatt-branded properties across the region.

Guillaume Paupy, General Manager of Hyatt Regency London

A seasoned hospitality leader with over two decades of experience at Hyatt, Paupy brings a global perspective to London, having held senior leadership positions across Asia and South America. Most recently, he served as Managing Director at Hyatt in Tokyo, where he oversaw the brand’s presence in one of its key Asia Pacific markets and led Andaz Tokyo as General Manager for over three years. He was previously the general manager at Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, in addition to holding other leading roles for Hyatt Hotels in Montevideo, São Paulo, and Singapore.

Paupy began his career with Hyatt in Tokyo in 2001, and after a brief two-year hiatus in 2008, rejoined the company to embark on a trajectory that has taken him from the Americas to Asia – and now, for the first time in his career, to Europe, returning to the continent where he started his journey in hospitality.

“I’m delighted to be joining the team at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, a property with such a rich legacy and deep connection to British heritage – at a pivotal time for Hyatt in the UK and Ireland,” said Paupy. “This is a dynamic and exciting market, and I look forward to building on the property’s reputation for warm, personalised service and continuing to deliver the thoughtful, high-touch experiences our guests and World of Hyatt members have come to expect.”

Paupy’s international expertise, combined with his deep understanding of Hyatt’s brand values, positions him well to lead both the hotel and the wider regional portfolio with a focus on operational excellence, colleague development, and strategic growth.

Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, located in the heart of Marylebone, is one of London’s most iconic hotels, celebrated for its refined service, heritage design, and close ties to British culture and history.
