PoB Hotels Champions Family Travel with Launch of ‘Pride & Joy’, a New Collection of Family PoB Breaks

June 28, 2025

In an age where family time feels increasingly precious, PoB Hotels, the collection of Britain’s finest independent stays, launches ‘Pride & Joy’ showcasing its new Family PoB Breaks, championing the art of multi-generational travel that creates lasting memories, not just fleeting moments.

A celebration of slow travel, PoB Breaks form the cornerstone of PoB Hotels, designed as immersive experiences that showcase the very best of each destination. The new family collection spans eight distinct regions across Britain, from the literary landscapes of the Lake District to the dramatic coastlines of Cornwall, from historic Scottish castles to the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds.

Whether families have three nights or ten, each break is crafted to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and create those precious moments when devices are forgotten, and wonder takes over. This season, PoB Hotels partners with Roarsome, the sustainable children’s brand dedicated to getting families outdoors and away from screens, bringing adventure magic to family holidays across Britain’s most enchanting destinations.

Some of the newly launched Family PoB Breaks include:

Tales from the Lake District – Family Breaks in Northern England invites families to follow in Peter Rabbit’s footsteps across three nights of literary magic. Stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, where children can meet the hotel’s own lemurs, meerkats and alpacas before exploring the landscapes that inspired Beatrix Potter and Arthur Ransome.

Bonnie Holidays in Scotland – Family Breaks in Scotland: offers seven nights of Highland adventure, from beaver safaris in the Cairngorms to Highland cow encounters. Based at extraordinary hotels like The Fife Arms in Braemar or the fairytale Cromlix, families can immerse themselves in Scotland’s wild beauty and rich heritage.

West Country Pleasures – Family Breaks in the South West: delivers ten nights of classic English summer magic across Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. From Wookey Hole’s underground adventures to Eden Project’s bio-domes, families can explore everything that makes England’s southwest a perennial favourite, staying at distinctive hotels like Bovey Castle or The Headland in Newquay.

The complete collection also includes An English Classic in the Cotswolds, Capital Gains in London, Coast and Country in South East England, and Island Life in the Channel Islands; each designed to celebrate Britain’s diverse landscapes and stories.

Family breaks matter now, more than ever, for various reasons including:

  • Connection over convenience – These breaks create intentional spaces for families to reconnect, whether sharing afternoon tea in a grand hotel or discovering secret underground passages together.
  • Multi-generational harmony – With interconnecting rooms and family suites, every break welcomes the whole tribe, from toddlers to grandparents.
  • Education through adventure – Each experience combines fun with learning, from Roman history to wildlife conservation, expanding young horizons naturally.
Sustainable family travel – Supporting independent, family-owned hotels while partnering with brands committed to environmental responsibility.
