Stephanie Spratt, CEO of family-run education catering specialist, Olive Dining, has been shortlisted for the Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award at this year’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA), for the South East region.

Founded by Stephanie and long-term colleague Chris Whitter 15 years ago, Olive Dining provides innovative, solution-led bespoke catering services to primary and secondary schools in and around the London area.
Stephanie’s impressive career within the catering industry combined with her family- run and nurturing approach has resulted in Olive Dining successfully providing children with access to homemade, nutritious meals – particularly in deprived areas across the South East.
Now, headquartered in Surrey, Olive Dining has established a positive reputation in partnering with schools to enhance student life through the provision of tasty, freshly prepared and wholesome meals.
Supported by Allica Bank, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards – also known as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship” – celebrate the most exceptional and inspiring business stories across the UK. Now in its 13 th year, the 2025 shortlist includes over 800 entrepreneurs from every nation and region of the UK, all recognised for their innovation, impact and resilience.
Stephanie Spratt, Founder and CEO of Olive Dining, said: “Olive Dining was founded after identifying a gap in the market for a catering service with an individual, flexible and proactive approach. Now, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive experience and are dedicated to supporting all students and members of the school community through quality, freshly prepared and nutritious meals.
“Not only is it an honour to be named a finalist at the GBEA, but to be recognised for our family values is a huge testament to our hard work over the last 15 years. We couldn’t be happier to be shortlisted alongside some of the UK’s most exciting and ambitious businesses, and we wish everyone the best of luck for the ceremony later this year.”
Frankie James, founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, added: “We’re so proud to reveal this year’s shortlist – a truly remarkable group of founders who are changing lives and transforming industries. The quality of entries gets stronger every year, and it’s clear that the entrepreneurial spirit in the UK is more alive than ever. Many of our finalists go on to become household names, and we can’t wait to watch what this year’s cohort achieves next.”
All winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday 17 th November at London’s Grosvenor House, where over 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders will come together to celebrate entrepreneurial success.
