Jumeirah Carlton Tower Launches New Afternoon Tea in Collaboration with Cadogan Gardens

June 8, 2025

Jumeirah Carlton Tower is delighted to announce a new chapter of its signature ‘A Tribute to Nature’ afternoon tea, presented in collaboration with the historic Cadogan Gardens at the heart of the recently transformed Sloane Street. Launching on Monday 9 June, the refreshed offering celebrates seasonality, sustainability, and the botanical elegance of one of London’s most renowned private garden squares.

Drawing inspiration from the storied past and the beauty of Cadogan Gardens, sitting halfway between Sloane Square and Knightsbridge, the reimagined menu pays tribute to the gardens’ quiet splendour and rich history, under the direction of Executive Pastry Chef Martin Haidar, who has crafted a refined selection of creations that reflect the rich diversity of the gardens’ flora. From the vibrant flavours of pineapple, guava, and elderberry to the delicate infusions of lavender, bay, and Japanese quince, each ingredient has been thoughtfully sourced and harmoniously composed.

The experience begins with a bright amuse-bouche of beetroot and orange espuma, followed by a traditional quartet of savoury sandwiches, including Burford Brown egg with watercress and fragrant coronation chicken, in a nod to the heritage of classic British teatime. Guests will then be treated to the signature Scone Experience, offering four seasonal scones, with inventive pairings such as chocolate thyme with black mulberry jam and a pine-infused scone with citrus cream – each designed to reflect a unique expression of flavour and place. To conclude, a curated selection of four intricate pastries celebrates the gardens’ botanical bounty, featuring highlights like a mascarpone cherry blossom sponge with cherry raspberry gel, and a lavender chocolate barquette topped with whipped lavender cream.
