Entertainment and Hospitality open talks on building a Bridge to Accessibility

June 10, 2025

By Denis Sheehan FIH

Øutlyer and Accessible Hospitality Alliance have announced they are to host a new roundtable at The aha Forum, in Partnership with Thomas Franks taking place later this week at the Urban Farmer Project in the City of London.

The roundtable brings leaders from both industries together to discuss how organisations in the world of entertainment and hospitality can work together to build a bridge to wider collaboration making both industries more accessible.

Joanne Reay, Co-Founder and CEO Øutlyer

Joanne Reay, Co-Founder and CEO, Øutlyer will lead the roundtable. Reay has over twenty-five years’ experience in film and television, having headed up divisions in the BBC, Red Bull Media and The Discovery Channel.

She will be joined by Robin Sheppard, chair, Accessible Hospitality Alliance and Co-Founder and President of Bespoke Hotels the UK’s largest independent hotel group.

Others joining the roundtable include Professor Peter Jones MBE. Professor Jones has chaired and been a member of professional and government bodies in the UK, Australia and Lithuania, so is familiar with initiating change through collaboration.

Reflecting on the imminent discussions he told us: “I am very much looking forward to being part of what promises to be a dynamic discussion exploring so many possibilities. Change starts somewhere, so as Øutlyer and Accessible Hospitality Alliance have the same purpose in aligned industries, it makes sense to start working together, and I am delighted to be part of that.”

Emmanuel Kelly, Co-Founder Øutlyer

We also spoke with Øutlyer Co-Founder Emmanuel Kelly who initiated the roundtable, Kelly remarked: “There is a reason why we spell Øutlyer with the number zero, because our mantra and mission is ‘zero barriers, connecting worlds’. We’re excited to explore the possibilities when this philosophy is applied to the world of hospitality.”

Building a Bridge to Accessibility is one of seven roundtables taking place at The aha Forum alongside keynotes, panel discussions, and interviews.

During the evening attendees will also enjoy a live performance by Emmanuel Kelly who last year became the first physically differently-abled artist to perform to stadium crowds when he opened for Coldplay on their record-breaking ‘Music Of The Spheres’ world tour.

The event will bring together a diverse group of people with one thing in common, the shared purpose of seeing a more inclusive and accessible hospitality world.

THE EVENT IS TOTALLY SOLD OUT

The next event will take place later this year, also in London, date and details to be announced soon. If you are interested in attending you can register your interest here.
