Luxury five-star lifestyle hotel, METT Hotel & Beach Resort Marbella, has announced the appointment of Ignacio Gomez-Escolar as General Manager.
With over 20 years’ experience within the luxury hospitality sector in Spain and internationally, Ignacio brings a wealth of knowledge to the hotel, having held leadership roles at various luxury resorts worldwide.
Ignacio joins METT Hotel & Beach Resort from Hard Rock Hotel in Marbella, where he led the team as General Manager through the pre-opening phrase and oversaw multiple stages of the hotel’s renovation. Prior to this, Ignacio honed his knowledge working within renowned resorts including St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort, InterContinental Bahrain, Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort by Hyatt and Rio Perdido in Costa Rica.
Dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences for every guest, Ignacio brings his passion and commitment to excellence to the METT team. Leading on the day-to-day operations, Ignacio will oversee the accommodation, on-site events and experiences at the hotel, along with F&B outlets — including Isola and AMMOS — whilst driving team development and retention.
