Rush on Pizza predicted in Manchester city centre tomorrow

April 9, 2025

Forbici, a new wave Neapolitan pizzeria, is celebrating its launch this Thursday 10th April by giving away 1,000 free pizzas.

From midday to 2pm, Mancunians can grab a free taste of Naples on Cross Street, served by master bakers flown in from Italy and fired in a traditional Acunto Forni oven.

It’s first-come, first-served, and with whole pizzas up for grabs (not just slices), it’s expected to get busy.

A new pizzeria is bringing the finest master bakers from Naples, and the formula for the most powerful pizza dough to Manchester. To celebrate its opening, Forbici is giving away free whole pizzas at lunchtime tomorrow, Thursday 10 April.

From midday to 2pm, lucky city-goers can experience a taste of Naples as they enjoy a free pizza served only the Neapolitan way, quartered with scissors to protect the signature high rise crust. The one-off event will be a first-come, first-served basis, so guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure their free pizza.

Located on Cross Street, Forbici promises to transport pizza lovers straight to Naples with its dedication to the art of pizza making. With precision at its heart, Forbici’s master bakers handmake the world-class biga dough fresh daily, with the finest flour and proof the dough for 12 hours. The result? A perfectly light, chewy crust that’s simply unmatched. Forbici uses only the finest ingredients, including San Marzano tomatoes, fresh fior di latte mozzarella, and flour sourced from Molini Pizzuti with it all baked to perfection in Sorrento’s finest Acunto Forni pizza oven.

“We’re excited to introduce Manchester to real Neapolitan pizza,” said Andrew Garton, CEO of Forbici, “This giveaway is our way of welcoming community and inviting everyone to experience what makes Forbici so unique. We are pioneering the next wave of pizza, and are excited to share it with Manchester.”

Guests can choose from a selection of four classic Neapolitan pizzas, all made with the highest-quality ingredients and prepared by Forbici’s expert master bakers.

Whether you’re a fan of the vegan Zucchine al Tartufo, a flavourful combination of rich truffle cream, vegan mozzarella, courgette, and mushrooms, or crave something bolder, like the spicy Diavola with Napoli salami, to liven up your lunchtime, this is your chance to experience Forbici’s taste of Naples and world-class dough.

With an open kitchen, a welcoming atmosphere, and a menu that stays true to Neapolitan traditions, Forbici is set to become the go-to spot for great pizza in Manchester.
