Dipna Anand announces details of her new Southall restaurant opening

Celebrated chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and TV personality Dipna Anand has announced the opening of her latest culinary venture, Brilliant Gastro by Dipna Anand, on April 25 in Southall, West London.

With over 75 years of family hospitality heritage and nearly five decades of feeding Southall, the Anand family is turning a new page. Brilliant Gastro represents an exciting evolution for the brand. “As Southall transforms, so do we,” says Dipna. “This gastropub is my personal take on the flavours I love, a fusion of my Punjabi roots and modern influences. We’re bringing something completely fresh to Southall’s dining scene. There’s nothing else like it.”

As Brilliant Gastro opens, the Anands’ iconic Brilliant Restaurant, Southall has closed its doors after 50 incredible years. But the favourite Punjabi classics will live on, alongside inventive Indian gastro dishes.

What’s on the Menu?

Think Okra Fries and Crazy Corn Chilli Ribs for light bites, perfect with a craft beer or cocktail after a game of padel at Parkside Padel Club. For something more substantial choose from the small and larger dishes and try the Chicken Biryani Arancini, fiery Dynamite Wings or the Banging Chicken Tikka Burger. For grill lovers, there’s the show-stopping ‘Smoking’ Robata Chop and Charred Spiced Cauliflower Steak. Want the full Dipna experience? Indulge in Dipna’s Special Meat Feast Thali or the Vegetarian Thali, a delightful spread of her most-loved dishes.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with the Cardamom-Infused Sticky Toffee Pudding, a decadent Gulab Jamun Bomb, or a zesty Spiced Mandarin Cheesecake.

With seating for 80 guests indoors and a spacious outdoor dining area perfect for sunny days, Brilliant Gastro is the ultimate spot for casual gatherings with friends and family. The gastropub’s warm, earthy interiors are designed to reflect the diverse, dynamic community of The Green Quarter. Plus, with Southall’s Elizabeth Line station just a 10-minute walk away (only 13 minutes from Paddington), it’s easily accessible for foodies across London.

A New Home for Dipna’s Cookery School

Dipna is relocating her renowned cookery school to the new site. Whether you’re an aspiring chef or just love experimenting in the kitchen, you can learn directly from the UK’s Curry Queen herself.

Brilliant Gastro by Dipna Anand takes pride of place in Parkside Yards, a buzzing community hub that’s quickly become West London’s go-to destination. With a state-of-the-art padel club, canoe club, and an innovative tree nursery featuring over 600 air-potted trees and woodland sculptures, there’s no shortage of things to explore.

The Green Quarter is one of the UK’s most biodiverse and ambitious regeneration projects, transforming a former gasworks into a thriving neighbourhood.
