Prior to last Saturday’s Premier League clash between Nottingham Forest and Brighton, few would have predicted the scoreline that unfolded. Including Beccy Webster, landlady at The Gedling Inn, Nottingham.

An hour before kick-off Webster decided to bring extra excitement to the fixture announcing each goal scored by Forrest, would see each customer receive a free pint on her. Generous.
After 12 minutes Forest were 1 up, at 25 it was 2, and by half time 3. So far so good, the punters were in fine fettle celebrating a prolific first half performance by their team. The best however was yet to come.
As the second half progressed so did the scoreline, in Nottingham Forest’s favour, and the mood of the cheering fans at The Gedling Inn. Forrest put another 4 goals past Brighton in the second half seeing the game end 7-0, securing 7 pints for each customer watching the match.
Such was the delight of punters lucky enough to have gone to The Gedling Inn to watch their team they shared the news on social media. It travelled. In fact, it travelled all the way to the Sky News news desk prompting Sarah-Jane Mee to host a live interview with Beccy Webster.
I’ll let Sarah-Jane and Beccy take the story from here…
