Denzil Arendse has been promoted to general manager at The Manor House, Castle Combe.
Dating back to the 14th century, the 50-bed, B Corp certified hotel and estate is noted for its championship golf course, Michelin star dining at Bybrook and on-site award-winning pub and rooms.
From 1st February 2025, Arendse will take over as general manager after 18 months as operations manager. Before joining Exclusive Collection, Arendse gained extensive experience in the hospitality industry in both the UK and South Africa. He was recently awarded a prestigious Innholder Scholarship by The Master Innholders.
The Manor House has a longstanding legacy for its warmth of welcome, picture-perfect village backdrop and is situated at a cornerstone to The Cotswolds. The hotel has a storied history having drawn royalty, society and social media’s biggest names to enjoy world-class hospitality in quintessential honey-hued surroundings.
The Cotswolds, which is known for golden sweeping hills, medieval churches and limestone cottages, is the UK’s hot spot for weekend getaways, milestone family events and business retreats that require anonymity and discretion.
David Connell, Group Director of Operations for Exclusive Collection, comments; “Denzil’s promotion underlines Exclusive Collection’s commitment to developing our people and we are looking forward to helping progress his career in one of the UK’s most recognised hotels.”
