Manorview team celebrate egalitarian profit share of £125K

Manorview have announced they are sharing £124,891 of profit with team members across the business. Manorview, who own and operate 12 hospitality venues, shared the news with the team at an all-expenses-paid celebration event.

Manorview’s ‘Heartcount’ scheme sees team members annually share 10% of net profits with their team. Everyone who has been with the business for 12 months or more qualifies – and this year 476 of their team (85%) will receive a profit share payment.

To ensure the profit share scheme is as fair as possible, individual amounts are calculated based on hours worked, not job title or pay. This ultimately means that regardless of whether someone is a Director, Housekeeper, Manager, Chef or Kitchen Porter, they get the same amount for the same hours.

Dani Fraser, Head of People at Manorview said :“We are very proud of our Heartcount profit share scheme. Everyone, regardless of role, makes a positive contribution to Manorview and it’s only right that they then receive something in return.”

Heartcount profit share is the only monetary based bonus at Manorview, having moved away from performance or target related bonuses just for managers or sales team several years ago. Dani continued: “Fairness is the heart of so many of our decisions, and the fact is it’s not just senior or sales team who make things happen here, this is why we structure Heartcount in the way we do.”

Though some of the team won’t qualify due to length of service, to ensure everyone receives thanks and recognition, all team members were invited to a Heartcount Celebrations Event on Sunday January 26th at Glasgow venue SWG3. The all-expenses-paid event included food, drinks and fun for all.

Britain’s Got Talent star Edward Reid hosted the start of the event – where the team heard all about how previous profit shares have helped people, what the focus of the business is for the year ahead, and what’s coming up for Manorview’s registered charity, Manorview Foundation.

During the event, Manorview announced the profit share amount of £124,891. And the team were advised that they’ll receive their payment in early February.

Brand Director Kirstin Watson said: “It was fantastic to get the team together to show our thanks and appreciation. The energy in the room was just brilliant – there were glow sticks and foam fingers in the air! We’re on a journey to make life better through hospitality, and this event alongside our profit share is just one way we aim to positively support our team. It’s very uncommon for businesses (especially in the hospitality sector) to share profits with their team – but we’re determined to not only look after people but show that hospitality can be a fantastic and rewarding career in many ways.”

Manorview operate 12 hospitality venues throughout Central Scotland including Boclair House in Bearsden, Brisbane House in Largs, and The Redhurst in Giffnock. All team members were invited to join the Heartcount event on Sunday – which has become an annual and much-anticipated event in the Manorview calendar.
