The three month food festival will run from December to February as a teaser for the opening of all day and late night home for food and culture in the heart of the Hackney borough. Created by Street Feast and The Tramshed Project Founder, Dominic Cools-Lartigue.
Featuring 500 seat multi-kitchen dining, guests will order any selection of dishes from a mix of kitchens, or for a more casual experience, everyone can pop up to the kitchen counter to place their order.
From live fire feasts to small plates, warm winter puddings, wine bar and more, YARDLIFE will add to the vibrant East London scene. The initial run will roll from Friday 6th December to Sunday 22nd December, and every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in between. YARDLIFE will then return on Friday 17th January until the end of February.
YARDLIFE will bring a taste of the capital’s finest cuisine with unique concepts hosted by a renowned chef each weekend.
For the December launch, Jordan Bailey of Aimsir, the fastest ever straight to two-star restaurant in the history of the UK Michelin Guide, will be serving up his premium smashburgers under the banner of HEARD, whilst new wine bar WINEHAUS will be serving organic, biodynamic and natural wines with raw milk cheeses and a range of artisan products including tinned fish from Portugal and cured meats from the French Basque.
Alongside this, 12:51 chef James Cochran will be creating his infamous gourmet fried chicken, Andrew Clarke of Acme Fire Cult will oversee steaks, chops, prime cuts and ribs on the massive live fire pit whilst Scott Hallsworth of Freak Scene will be delivering his eclectic twists on South East Asian plates throughout December.
For those looking to finish off with a sweet treat, the Winter Pudding Pantry will be serving a wide range of indulgent warming treats like buttermilk pudding with salted caramel and a very tempting pear and brown butter tart, with other attractions on site including the Wavy Seafood Bar and the 5 Star Dive Bar by Rich Woods, also known as The Cocktail Guy.
Upon YARDLIFE’s return in January, there will be unmissable kitchen offerings from Gizzi Erskine, Denai Moore and her Dee’s Kitchen, all set to kick off the new year with a bang.
Local DJs will be performing each weekend, transforming the YARDLIFE space into a buzzing cultural hub that celebrates the best of the city.
Dalston Yard’s new reimagined venue will be a creative hub for a new generation of chefs, artists, musicians and diners, encompassing incredible food, drinks, events, music, art, wellbeing, community and more for all to indulge in.
