Markus Thesleff, Founder & CEO of The Thesleff Group took part in the CEO Sleepout on 25 November 2024, raising over £40,000. A contribution that helped boost the event’s total to £200,000, going to charities like Only a Pavement Away, supporting those facing homelessness.
Reflecting on the experience, Thesleff said: “It’s always an honour to take part in the CEO Sleepout, and this year was especially meaningful. Together, we raised over £200,000. My thanks go to everyone who supported me, whether through donations or encouragement.
“Every year, this experience reminds me of just how much we take for granted in our daily lives. I only spent one night on the streets, but it’s nothing compared to what so many people face on a daily basis. That’s exactly why the CEO Sleepout matters. The initiative is a lifeline for smaller charities such as Only a Pavement Away, giving them the support they need to change lives.”
Thesleff praised the CEO Sleepout team saying: “A special shoutout to the CEO of CEO Sleepout, Bianca Robinson, Head of Business Partnerships, Henrietta MacEwen, and the wider team who do this more than 20 times a year. Their dedication is truly inspiring, and they really are the unsung heroes in this fight against homelessness.”
The Thesleff Group venues includes OKKU in Dubai and Riyadh and London’s celebrated Los Mochis Notting Hill, home to Juno Omakase, Los Mochis London City, Sale e Pepe in Knightsbridge, and Viajante87, an experiential cocktail bar in Notting Hill.
