Splendid Hospitality Group (SHG) was happy to support the next generation of hospitality professionals at the Institute of Hospitality’s annual Passion4Hospitality event which recently took place at Novotel London West.
Passion4Hospitality is the UK’s largest free careers exhibition and conference, dedicated to students, graduates and apprentices looking to start their careers in the industry. The event brought together 700 people including students from 20 colleges and universities, hospitality companies, and business leaders.
SHG sponsored the CV surgery, where several hospitality recruitment experts provided one-to-one advice to attendees. Chloe Johnson, People Advisor at SHG’s Hilton London Bankside said: “It was great to meet a variety of students from across the hospitality sector and help them in their career journey.”
Peter Avis FIH, Vice Chair of the Institute of Hospitality, said: “It’s so important that the Institute of Hospitality delivers CV surgeries to aspiring industry professionals in such a competitive market. Companies are really looking for students that stand out. So having Splendid Hospitality Group supporting our workshops is really helping unlock the potential of the next generation of hospitality graduates.”
Sophia Brinkmann, Regional People Advisor at SHG Hotels who also advised at the CV surgeries commented: “I had a lot of fun today. At university, I was part of a mentoring scheme, so it was great to have the chance to give back my tips to students.”
