Shelley Sandzer has secured whiskey-focused lounge bar and restaurant, Odyssey, for its debut space at 1 Hoxton Square.
Occupying a 3,000 sq ft unit at 1 Hoxton Square, Odyssey has opened its doors to a two-floor space, with the main bar area situated downstairs and casual hosting upstairs with 190 covers.
With a focus on customer experience, Odyssey boasts over 600 bourbons, the largest collection outside the United States, and also offers an array of high-end cocktails that can be enjoyed alongside a selection of small sharing plates, such as yuca balls, braised beef quesadilla, and the original Kentucky Derby pie.
Odyssey also offers a vegan version of the well-known ‘Whiskey Sour’ on draft, with a view to eventually selling its own branded whiskey, aged on-site.
Nick Weir, Joint Managing Partner at Shelley Sandzer, added: “Shoreditch’s standout night-time economy and its reputation as one of the trendiest parts of London make it the perfect place for Odyssey to kickstart its presence in the capital. Whether you are looking for a casual stop-in or a specialist whiskey experience, Odyssey will be a standout addition to a neighbourhood already known for its diverse hospitality offer.”
Tony Vega, Co-Founder of Odyssey, said: “This has been a concept that we’ve talked about for many years now, and it’s great to finally see it come to fruition at 1 Hoxton Square. This location was a no brainer for us and want to thank Shelley Sandzer for their expertise in helping us secure this site as we bring an unmatched bourbon collection to Shoreditch.”
This news follows multiple deals by Shelley Sandzer in recent months, having secured popular chicken wing restaurant, Wingstop UK, and leading dessert restaurant, Heavenly Desserts, for adjacent units on New Broadway in Ealing.
