Recognising kitchen porters throughout the year
Growing membership of and engagement with the Kitchen Porters Club emphasises the appreciation of kitchen porters across our industry. This is evidenced by the diverse range of kitchen porters who have recently won the prestigious Kitchen Porter of the Month title, showcasing talent from Jersey to York, from care catering to fine dining.
Winners of a Kitchen Porters Club Kitchen Porter of the Month Award become members receiving a members apron symbolising their achievements and belonging to this unique club.
Paul Anderson, Managing Director of Meiko UK and head of the Kitchen Porter of the Month judging panel, reflected on this year’s progress telling us: “Throughout the year reviewing the entries for the Kitchen Porters Club Kitchen Porter of the Month competition is always a pleasure, and announcing the awards even more so. We are delighted when we see kitchen porters and their colleagues celebrating on social media, as we love to welcome new members and see them wearing the official Kitchen Porters Club aprons so proudly.”
