BM Caterers has today announced the appointment of Elisabeth Ortiz Kuefler to the role of ESG Project Manager – a newly created role for the business.
Ortiz will take on a key leadership role in driving BM’s sustainability and social impact initiatives, and support the company on its journey to becoming B Corp Certified.
She will focus on further embedding charitable and social enterprise efforts into the fabric of the organisation, enhancing a culture of engagement and participation across teams.
In addition, she will lead on key ESG events, including charitable initiatives and internal events aimed at educating and inspiring employees. A core aspect of her work will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to promote sustainable practices, both within the company and in its relationships with clients.
In her capacity, Ortiz will also work on developing new, forward-thinking sustainability initiatives that further distinguish BM in the marketplace.
Her responsibilities will include producing key communications on BM’s sustainability efforts, conducting audits to improve sustainable practices, and supporting clients’ ESG leaders with resources and guidance.
With a strong academic background, including a masters in Environmental Science and Policy, Ortiz will offer a science-based approach to BM’s ESG deliverables.
She will report to Antony Prentice, joint MD, BM Caterers.
Prentice said: “This is significant move for BM. Whilst we have been at the forefront of ESG activity in our sector for quite some time, we believe there is a lot we and the rest of the sector can do to keep driving positive change for the communities we operate in and the wider world.
“ESG is naturally embedded in everything that we do but we are incredibly excited to welcome Elisabeth to the as she will give us additional expertise to real drive through some brilliant initiatives we are looking to develop.”
Ortiz added: “I’m delighted to be joining BM and supporting the business as it continues to build on its already industry-leading sustainability initiatives.”
