Heartwood Collection has announced partnering with Magic Breakfast, a leading children’s charity in the UK that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn, as its charity of the year.
Over the next 12 months teams across Heartwood Inns and Brasserie Blanc will be hosting a range of fundraising activities to contribute the equivalent of 100,000 nutritious breakfasts.
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end morning hunger as a barrier to learning for children and young people in the UK. Making a difference to over 200,000 children and young people every day by offering breakfasts and expert advice to tackle morning hunger in schools across England and Scotland.
Heartwood Collection will kick-start its efforts with a bumper charity “quizathon”, hosting a charity quiz night, in partnership with Lucky Cow Quizzes, in every Heartwood Inn and Brasserie Blanc from October 28 to 19 November.
Tickets cost £40 per person and guests can enjoy a deliciously seasonal 3 course meal, live entertainment on the night and of course the chance to join fellow quizzers to win one of a selection of ultimate prizes on the night. Heartwood Collection will donate £5 from every meal sold to Magic Breakfast.
There will be a multitude of other events that will be promoted on the company’s social media, website and emails, including sponsored walks, cycles and even a sponsored car wash.
Richard Ferrier, CEO of Heartwood Collection said: “We are delighted to be working with Magic Breakfast as Heartwood Collection’s chosen charity and supporting the important work they do in schools across the country.
