Fulham Pier is the eagerly-anticipated transformation of Fulham Football Club’s riverside stand into London’s newest destination. The venue will celebrate live music and entertainment, incredible hospitality, brand new food and drink concepts and more, with over 250 new permanent jobs created in Fulham.
Opening in Summer 2025, Fulham Pier will mark a significant moment in London’s history as a new riverside promenade will complete the Putney Bridge to Hammersmith Bridge waterside walk, allowing pedestrians to use this section of the Thames Path for the first time since the stadium opened. Stretching several metres, the revived riverfront walkway will be open and accessible to the public morning, noon and night with thoughtful landscaping, ambient lighting, a curated offering of eateries, and a lively roster of events to welcome all to the area.
Expertly designed in collaboration with leading architecture firm and venue specialists, Populous, the rejuvenation of the destination will feature seven impressive floors, each unique in concept and experience. A welcoming activation space in the centre will invite visitors in and set the main stage for regular programming activity including all live performances, interactive experiences, not to be missed art exhibitions, exciting brand takeovers and more.
An ambitious vision by Fulham Football Club Chairman, Shahid Khan, Fulham Pier will bring an offering like no other to South West London. Setting a new global benchmark for sport stadium transformations, Fulham Pier will deliver an unrivalled lifestyle experience for the entire community, year round.
Shahid Khan, Chairman of Fulham Football Club said: “There is no other riverside setting like this in London. The entire destination will fulfil our vision to optimise the expansive views of the riverfront while introducing an iconic promenade, all delivering a waterfront experience across every floor.
As the first stadium transformation of its kind in Europe, we can’t wait to share the new space with our community and visitors from across London and throughout the world, certainly when Fulham is playing but also every day of every year. I am looking forward to seeing the destination come to life within the year ahead with friends, families and people of all ages able to find something to enjoy at Fulham Pier.”
Once completed, the expansive ground floor, designed to create a seamless indoor-outdoor offering that maximises the promenade, will be home to Riverside Market, a vibrant food experience with a multitude of individual gastronomy and beverage concepts.
Key tenants include
Tinie Tempah’s Raps, an indulgent yet healthy soul food offering, a nostalgic nod to Tinie’s favourite childhood eateries.
Goila Butter Chicken, the award-winning, cult favourite curry loved from London to Mumbai.
Base Face Pizza, the locally-loved Neapolitan pizza concept born out of lockdown from the pizza oven of lifelong Fulham FC fan, Tim Thornton.
Glen Sutton, Director of Fulham Pier said: “We saw a unique opportunity to utilise our incredible space and riverside location at Fulham Pier to create a venue for the community. With a year round programme of events, activations and a variety of food and beverage experiences, we are excited to be taking an innovative approach to delivering a new social destination for residents, locals and tourists in West London.
We’re also pleased to be able to support London based businesses, with several zero rent opportunities available for small enterprises and entrepreneurs across the site, allowing organic expansion for these much loved F&B brands in the capital.”
Reviving South West London’s cultural scene will see the opening of The Orange Box, a dedicated floor designed by Theatre Projects, to deliver a premium customer experience for immersive art, live podcasts, comedy evenings and late-night screenings. A destination within itself, The Orange Box will feature its own fully serviced bar and reception area for visitors to enjoy.
Higher levels will deliver a combination of further cultural, amenity and flexible event spaces.
Level one will reveal a destination Restaurant and Brasserie while the whole floor of level two will be dedicated to meetings and events spaces available for private hire with the backdrop to The Thames. A boutique Hotel and Health Spa concept will flank either ends of Fulham Pier, making the most of the views, and an exclusive Members’ Club atop Fulham Pier will feature an unforgettable roof terrace.
