Leading the industry in serving appreciation

August 8, 2024

Recognising and appreciating the people you work alongside can significantly boost morale and motivation.

The growing popularity of the Kitchen Porters Club highlights the high esteem in which kitchen porters are held across our industry. This is evidenced by the diverse range of kitchen porters who have recently won the prestigious Kitchen Porter of the Month title, showcasing talent from Jersey to York, and across sectors from care catering to fine dining.

Paul Anderson, Managing Director, Meiko UK

Each month, winners of the Kitchen Porters Club Kitchen Porter of the Month automatically become members and receive a special members apron, symbolising their achievement and belonging to this esteemed club.

Paul Anderson, Managing Director of Meiko UK and head of the Kitchen Porter of the Month judging panel, shared his thoughts: “Reviewing the entries for the Kitchen Porters Club Kitchen Porter of the Month competition is a pleasure. Announcing the awards is even more rewarding, as we often see happy kitchen porters and their colleagues celebrating on social media, proudly wearing the official Kitchen Porters Club aprons.”
