The Machrie has announced the appointment of Ian Ferguson as General Manager, an industry professional with over 30 years of experience as a leader in the hotel, golf and sports industries in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Most recently Ferguson held the position of General Manager at Dundonald Links where he managed the hotel and golf operations for more than seven years. Prior to this, he was Director of Hospitality for four years at Loch Lomond Golf Club, one of the finest private member golf clubs in the world.
With his extensive golf and hotel experience, Ian will further elevate The Machrie’s guest experience and continue to drive awareness, and revenue, for one of Scotland’s leading properties.
The Machrie’s championship golf links was recently ranked as 75th in the world at the Golf World’s Top 100 and listed as one of Condé Nast Traveller’s Top 30 UK hotels in the prestigious Readers’ Choice Awards, The Machrie is one of Scotland’s most loved, and respected, golf properties.
