Sodexo Corporate Services has announced from 1 June Alex Kristall will become managing director for the Good Eating Company in the UK & Ireland, as part of investment plans to grow the business and its footprint globally.
The Good Eating Company was founded in 1999 and over the last two decades has established itself as a distinctive, meaningful and memorable food service organisation with good food, good people and good service at its heart. Delivering great experiences for leading organisations in the creative, media and arts, investment and financial management and pharmaceutical industries.
In 2017 the Good Eating Company joined Sodexo and has continued to deliver high end quality food in London as well as a number of sites in Ireland. Kristall will take over full operational and P&L responsibility for the company in UK & Ireland from the 1st June while Carlos Mistry, co-founder, will remain with The Good Eating Company, moving into a global role with a large US presence. Kristall will continue to report into Julie Ennis, CEO Corporate Services, Sodexo UK & Ireland.
Alex Kristall, said of her appointment: “This is an exciting time for the Good Eating Company, the team has built an enviable brand and set the definitive standard when it comes to delivering workplace dining to leading organisations.
“As we grow the business, I very much look forward to working with the team to continue to evolve and strengthen its position here in the UK & Ireland. The future of food experiences in the workplace is challenging yet exciting and we are perfectly positioned to disrupt the market and aid organisations in better defining their workplace experience.”
Kristall’s career in the foodservice industry spans over 20 years covering retail, corporate contracts, events and heritage locations. People and planet are at the heart of her leadership which is a good fit with the values of the Good Eating Company. Kristall joined Sodexo in March 2022 as managing director for Corporate Services and over the last year has successfully developed Sodexo’s presence in London and the southeast retaining key clients and winning new ones.
This move will see Sodexo invest further in the Good Eating Company brand to grow it within the UK & Ireland and further afield. In 2021 The Good Eating Company was launched in the United States. The Good Eating Company will remain its own entity within Sodexo’s Corporate Services business to maintain its agility and entrepreneurial edge with the support and resource Sodexo provides.
Julie Ennis, CEO Corporate Services, Sodexo UK & Ireland said: “At Sodexo we are committed to delivering inspiring workplaces for our clients’ employees and we know that food is a vital ingredient in attracting people back to the office. This is an exciting step for all involved. Alex has a strong focus on food as demonstrated from her many years in the industry and with the amazing Good Eating Company team we are looking forward to its continued success and evolution.”
