The Micker Brook reopens unveiling major transformation

February 15, 2023

By Angela Green, Content Executive: The Micker Brook reopens unveiling major transformation.

The Micker Brook celebrated its reopening on Friday 10th February following an extensive £500,000 renovation by inviting the Mayor of Cheadle, Sue Walley, to the new look pub restaurant, making her the guest of honour at a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony.

Located in Greater Manchester, the refreshed Micker Brook resumed serving guests after an extensive five-week refurbishment. Following a significant investment, 15 new jobs have been created for the local area with more on the way.

Changes to the pub restaurant include an extensive terrace and garden, contemporary styled interiors and a newly designed bar and food hub providing guests with the perfect spot to get together and share time with friends and family.

Along with an exciting new look, the Micker Brook has introduced a new food and drinks offering, including a range of homemade stonebaked pizzas, oven baked al forno dishes, highly popular ‘dirty’ burgers, and freshly carved roasts.

In addition, the pub will now offer a delicious range of Cornish ice creams and bubble waffles, perfect to enjoy with their signature cocktails and new selection of beers.

Commenting on the pub’s new look and name, general manager, Christian Penzer said: “The Micker Brook looks fantastic following its refurbishment.

“We can’t wait to welcome back our regulars and first-time guests to visit the new Micker Brook for themselves, we hope that they love the new look and food and drinks experience.

“At Stonehouse, with our menu available all day every day, and a range of daily deals on offer, we’re thrilled to unveil the major changes to the Micker Brook that will make the experience even more enjoyable and affordable to meet with friends.”

To celebrate the opening, The Micker Brook is holding a VIP launch party event from 7pm on Thursday 16th February where guests can enjoy canapes of dishes from the new menu, drinks from local suppliers and enjoy live music.
