Irish Hospitality Group Press Up is expanding its umbrella with the opening The Dean Townhouse in Dublin at the end of this month.
Sitting next door to the original site, The Dean Dublin on 36 Harcourt Street, the Georgian townhouse has been transformed to create the addition of a newly built mews extension, adding an extra 49 bedrooms, bringing The Dean Dublin to a total of 100 rooms.
Each room is a distinct contrast to the iconic Dean Dublin colour palate. Taking on a new colour scheme and furnishings to complement, The Dean Townhouse features contrasting fabric headboards, custom-made furniture, pieces of nature inspired artwork, and bold illustrated wallpaper.
Alongside the newly added bedrooms, The Dean Townhouse opens with a new cocktail bar and lounge, an outdoor courtyard and a dedicated event space catering up to 150 guests seated, or 280 standing.
The Townhouse Bar welcomes guests entering The Dean Townhouse, offering a selection of specially crafted cocktails overseen by Marcin Bilewicz, The Dean’s Executive Bar Manager. The Townhouse Bar opens out onto an open, heated terrace which will be open late into the evening.
Also on the lower-ground floor sits The Marshall Room, a unique light-filled space that stands out from classic meeting rooms. Designed with reclaimed timber from floor to ceiling with a dedicated bar, restrooms and kitchen, it’s paired with plush, luxurious, custom furniture, greenery and stunning artwork, making it a space made for meetings and events with a difference.
The Dean, a hotel brand operated by Press Up Hospitality Group with locations in Dublin, Cork and Galway, is one of Ireland’s leading boutique, design led hotels.
Having opened in Dublin in November 2014 as part of a terrace of protected Georgian townhouses, The Dean introduced a new concept in accommodation to Ireland which is fresh, vibrant, youthful, and creative and will be bringing The Dean concept to Belfast in 2023, and Birmingham in 2024. Since then, it has long been one of the country’s top places to stay. Each Dean location has a number of unique features including Sophie’s Rooftop Restaurant and Terrace, luxury POWER Gym, and an art collection which is curated to celebrate local artists.
