Burley Manor, part of New Forest Collection’s group of homegrown hospitality venues, welcomes Andras Veres as Executive Head Chef.
Veres joins Burley Manor from Natural Fitness Food in London, where he has been Head Chef since 2020. Since beginning his career in 1997 with Varoshaza Restaurant in Hungary, Veres has enjoyed positions in the Guardsman Hotel near Buckingham Palace, Petrus Restaurant, part of the Gordon Ramsay Group, and the Jetty Restaurant in Mudeford.
The move to Burley Manor, a 19th century Baronial-style Manor House in the heart of the New Forest, represents an important shift in his journey to Executive Head Chef. Utilising his expertise to boost the restaurant’s Mediterranean-inspired, seasonal and locally sourced menus.
Beginning with the introduction of his lunch menu of tapas, flatbreads, intricate deli selection and lunch plates all catering to a variety of dietary requirements. Veres said of his appointment: “I am extremely excited to be heading up the Burley Manor kitchen team.
“With a location such as this, it’s difficult not to be inspired. Understanding the forest’s unique seasonal calendar is something I am eager to learn and showcase within my menu designs.”
