Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa set in 400 acres of deer park and woodland, near Keswick in the northern Lake District has announced an investment of £1 million into its facilities with the development of eight new Spa Garden Suites.
The development plan has been put in place following a noticeable increase in the luxury market. The development will be completed in April 2023 and is an extension of other recent development of public spaces in the hotel including the Lake View Restaurant.
The existing spa wing bedrooms, which lead from the main house towards the spa have easy access to the facilities and will be doubled in size to a floor footage of 40-50sqm. The Spa Garden Suites have been designed to connect its guests with the landscape that sits directly outside each room and accessible via a private patio.
The design of the Spa Garden Suites take inspiration from the hotel’s natural environment with materials carefully chosen to tie in with the historic architecture of Armathwaite Hall, while adding a modern touch with timber finns and large expanses of glazing.
Internally, the design scheme uses natural raw materials such as oak and stone to further root the rooms naturally within their surroundings.
On the announcement of the new Spa Garden Suites, General Manager Simon Steele said: “The decision to expand our bedroom offering is born off the back of an increase in the high-end leisure market and the demand for bigger and better bedrooms for our luxury spa guests. We are continually striving to enhance our guests experience at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and providing them with an improved space to relax and retreat will meet and exceed their expectations.”
