By Denis Sheehan, Publisher, H&C News: Sam’s Riverside creates the Queen’s ‘favourite ingredients’ Platinum Jubilee Menu.
Sam’s Riverside will provide diners with a very special menu to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The menu has been crafted following careful research by proprietor Sam Harrison and head chef Ashley Tinoco, craeting each dish with relevance to the Queen’s favourite ingredients/dishes.
It will be available for lunch and dinner throughout the four-day celebration weekend (2-5 June).
Harrison told us: “I’m very excited about the Jubilee weekend and this once in a life time celebration.
“We wanted to give our guests an extra incentive to come and celebrate with us. Head Chef Ashley and I had a lot of fun researching the Queen’s favourite ingredients and dishes.
“It makes sense that Scottish venison and salmon would be popular with Her Majesty, and our Dover sole and Chicken main courses are inspired by two dishes she is rumoured to request frequently.
“We had to have a Queen of Puddings on the menu, and it happens to be one of the desserts from our first menu in 2019. The chocolate biscuit cake is apparently a firm favourite and will be perfect paired with delicious English strawberries.”
