Reena’s recipe: Baked Beans Curry.
1 tin baked beans
Half chopped onion
1 tsp ginger/garlic paste
1tsp cumin seeds
Half tsp mustard seeds
Half tsp salt
1 tsp coriander/cumin powder
Third tsp tumeric
Third tsp chilli powder
Third tin of water
Heat a tbs of oil in a pan, add the cumin and mustard seeds and let pop.
Add the onions and cook for a couple of mins before adding the ginger/garlic paste.
Cook for another couple of mins and add your powdered spices.
Mix up and add the beans and the water.
Cook for 5/7 mins until slightly thick.
Adjust to your taste.
You can also add any other veggies when cooking the onions, such as peppers, mushrooms, sweetcorn, spinach.
