Tap and pay led the way to tap and receipt…

March 26, 2022

By Denis Sheehan, Publisher, H&C News: Tap and pay led the way to tap and receipt…

H&C News Technology Roundtable

The opportunity presented by new technologies is largely realised at mid product lifecycle, when businesses realise the need to ‘get on board’.

Many of the most successful technology adoptions provide simple solutions, invariably they replace something by being easier and preferable to use.

Tap and pay is a good example, we were all happily tapping codes into payment terminals until tap and pay became an option. It was easier and preferable to use, it is now the norm.

What if instead of waiting for a paper receipt to be printed after you tap and pay, you then tap and receipt? It’s easier and I suspect will follow tap and pay in being preferable to use.

It also saves mountains of paper and makes your hospitality venue more sustainable.

H&C News are hosting a breakfast meeting at Coworth Park on Wed 13 April to look at exactly how this technology has been developed, how it can be adopted, and its sustainability credentials.
