Aparthotels Adagio has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Xavier Desaulles, who will take over management of the business being responsible specifically for realising its development and modernisation goals.
Xavier Desaulles, CEO, Aparthotels AdagioA graduate of HEC Paris and INSEAD, Desaulles joins the organisation from Club Med, where he spent the last six years as CEO East South Asia & Pacific based in Singapore, before taking over as CEO for the China and Asia Pacific markets, based in Shanghai.
Xavier Desaulles began his career with the Rémy Cointreau Group, where he spent 14 years as Marketing Director for Remy Martin and Louis XIII, Sales Director for Remy Cointreau USA and finally Managing Director for South-East Asia, India, and the Middle East.
ACCOR and Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs, the shareholders of the Aparthotels Adagio joint venture have placed their full confidence in Desaulles and are counting on his strategic vision and experience to drive the expansion of the aparthotel network in Europe and in new markets. By developing new products such as Coliving and offers adapted to new lifestyles such as the Commuters offer launched in November 2021, Adagio is determined to consolidate its position as an innovator and leader in the aparthotel sector.
Desaulles said of his appointment: “With ten new openings planned this year, including Glasgow, Hamburg, and Rome, 2022 promises to be dynamic and full of new developments. My ambition is to develop the Adagio brand responsibly and with commitment, and to further strengthen our position as the European market leader in the aparthotel sector. These developments will allow us to meet the economic, social and environmental challenges of our urban environment.”
