WKD, the UK’s no.1 RTD1, is marking the all-important start of the academic year with a nationwide nightclub tour aimed to maximise fresher celebrations and drive sales for venues.
In a series of striking outlet takeovers, the brand is getting all dressed up and ready to glow with a string of WKD Student Neon Nights. With the lead focus on Revolution Bars in key student cities across Britain, WKD is putting on the biggest, brightest and boldest parties in town.
Centred around Freshers’ Week and running through to mid-October, the neon-themed club nights will inject a blast of colour and some typical WKD-style fun into the start of the new term. The events are designed to generate footfall and drive sales, whilst creating vibrant nights to remember.
WKD Student Neon Nights comprise an all-encompassing range of elements, including:
- Professional neon dancers
- LED light-changing wristbands for attendees
- Make-up artists for body and face-painting and temporary tattoos
- Photographers providing free Polaroid snaps
- Glow-paint, LED ice-cubes and pairs of wearable LED glasses
- Extensive venue decorations (e.g. strip lighting, on-screen neon graphics)
- An interactive Beat-the-Buzz competition
A comprehensive campaign of geo-targeted posts across social media platforms will build awareness and anticipation for each individual city and local venue, generating a real talk-about factor and encouraging attendance.
Alison Gray, Head of Brand – WKD, at SHS Drinks, says: “With two years’ intakes of students looking to enjoy the full on-trade experience and traditional introduction to student life this time around, WKD is encouraging students to really glow out and have fun. We want to create memorable evenings at the start of the new term and we’re confident that WKD Student Neon Nights will glow down in history!”
