The Institute of Hospitality has reached the finals of the 2021 National Association Awards, nominated by public vote in the Best Membership Organisation – 10,000-plus members – category.
The National Association Awards recognise the hard work and success of associations, federations, chambers of commerce, societies and membership organisations across all sectors.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington on Tuesday, 27 July 2021.
The IoH joins a list of finalists that includes UKHospitality, the Association of Colleges, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Meetings Industry Association and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Peter Ducker FIH, chief executive of the Institute of HospitalityFounded in 1938, today the Institute of Hospitality has over 12,500 members in more than 100 countries. Membership includes individual hoteliers, restaurateurs, contract caterers, publicans, academics, hospitality students as well as professionals closely affiliated with the hospitality industry.
Among its fellows are Sir Rocco Forte, chairman and chief executive of Rocco Forte Hotels, and Kate Nicholls OBE, chief executive of UKHospitality.
Student membership of the IoH rose by 6% year on year in March 2021, an increase attributed to the Institute’s commitment to creating bridges between business and education throughout the pandemic.
