The Clink Charity Hospitality Golf Day 2021, in association with Meiko UK is all about raising the profile of, and funds for, the work done by The Clink Charity. Vital work in rehabilitating and training prisoners that enables trainees post release to enter into a meaningful career in hospitality.
The centrepiece of the day is an auction in the evening during dinner, where some very special items are auctioned. In previous years items have included – A day of fly fishing for two on the River Test at Timsbury Fishery, Hampshire – Afternoon Tea at Buckingham Palace – Aston Martin Driving Day at Goodwood – Afternoon Tea at Coworth Park – alongside other esoteric experiences.

To help with raising funds at the auction this year The Clink received a generous offer from Ramco, one of the UK’s largest independent asset management and online auction companies. To conduct the auction, just like they do most days for their client’s, maximising returns on asset disposal.
Ramco’s Foodservices business specialise in the profitable disposal of surplus assets for hospitality businesses across the UK. So we are delighted to announce that Ramco will be auctioning some ‘extremely desirable’ assets at The Clink Charity Hospitality Golf Day 2021, in association with Meiko UK.
Auctioneer, William Barker, Director at Pygott & CroneThe auctioneer conducting affairs on the evening is William Barker, Director at Pygott & Crone, Estate Agents and Auctioneers with 12 branches in Lincolnshire and winners of 40 National Awards in 25 years.
H&C News spoke with William Barker to learn more about what was in store on the night. Barker was enthusiastic about his ‘assignment’ telling us: “I have a long standing professional association with Ramco and their generous offer to The Clink Charity does not surprise me. Ramco are a business that know ‘how to do business’.
“When I was asked to conduct the auction I was grateful for the opportunity. When an industry like hospitality that has been through so much itself in the past year, can still come out in force to support a charity, the least I could do was lend a small hand.
“I must say that most days I sell agricultural land and property portfolios, so I’m looking forward to moving into hospitality, even if only for a day. We’ll have a bit of fun and raise a good deal of money for a great cause. Plus it’s a night at The Belfry.”
