Hospitality Golf Day 2021
Towards the end of June, when the English summer is at its peak, eighteen teams of golfers will come together at The Belfry and take part in the annual hospitality golf day. The Clink Charity Hospitality Golf Day 2021.
This year more than any other hospitality people are looking forward to once again being able to enjoy a round of golf at The Belfry. The resort that uniquely is the only golf venue in the world to host the Ryder Cup on four occasions.
The day sees people from every sector of our industry gather to not only relish a day of golf, competing for trophies, but also socialise throughout the day and into the evening.
After enjoying a few well-earned drinks in the 19th a sumptuous three course dinner is served in a private room for the circa 100 people in attendance. Over dinner an auction is held that in previous years has raised thousands of pounds for the training and rehabilitation work done by The Clink Charity. The team and individual trophies are presented over dinner, as well as framed certificates for every team taking part.
H&C News are delighted to announce that this year the sponsor of the event is Meiko UK, and as such the event is now – The Clink Charity Hospitality Golf Day 2021, in association with Meiko UK.

We spoke with Christopher Moore, Chief Executive, The Clink Charity on the news who told us: “I was delighted to learn that Meiko UK are sponsoring The Clink Charity Hospitality Golf Day 2021 at The Belfry. I would personally like to thank Paul Anderson for Meiko UK’s continued support of our work in reducing reoffending. Meiko UK have supported our work since 2012 in many ways including donating equipment and maintaining it for our prisoner students training in The Clink Restaurants.
“I am also grateful that in the midst of the current situation so many people in hospitality can now look forward to what has become a truly remarkable day out.”

Joining Meiko UK on the day is Chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE who is also looking forward to a glorious day out in aid of such a good cause. Chef told us: “The Clink Charity has always been close to my heart, the work done helps people train successfully for meaningful jobs in hospitality, and serves society as a whole.
“I would like to thank Paul Anderson and Meiko UK for enabling me to be part of a special day and I look forward to meeting everyone attending.”

Meiko UK, Managing Director, Paul Anderson explained his thinking in supporting the day saying: “I have attended in previous years by entering a team from Meiko. It is always a special day, but in 2021 returning again to The Belfry, being out with friends from across hospitality on a glorious summers day, is even more special, for all too obvious reasons.
“I have always been a supporter of the magnificent work done by The Clink Charity and am only too pleased to continue doing so by sponsoring this special event.”
We understand that a new feature is being built into the day by Paul and his team at Meiko UK, with some help from Chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE, and look forward to releasing details soon.
