
Catherine McKinnell, Labour MP for Newcastle upon Tyne North has written to Boris Johnson asking the Prime Minister to meet with Minister for Hospitality champion Claire Bosi.
Bosi initiated a Parliamentary petition in October 2020 requesting government to appoint a Minister for Hospitality that has now gained over 200,000 signatures.
A debate to discuss the merits of appointing a Minister for Hospitality then took place in Parliament on 11 January, where a group of 20 MPs from different political parties voted unanimously in favour of the motion. The debate can be seen if full here.
