London-based Brazilian artist, Goia Mujalli, has released her first limited edition fabric face masks. The face masks consist of her brightly coloured abstract design, which will bring some colour and hopefully a smile in these dark days.
Goia Mujalli is an international exhibiting artist, a graduate of The Royal College of Art, and winner of the Ashurst Painting Art Prize for emerging artists in 2018.
As a response to the pandemic, Goia has created a series of limited edition works, specially made to be applied on face masks.
The first of these is the print for Fashionizer’s masks called Sunset by the Coast, named after the bright colours the sun radiates, sinking beneath a crystal blue ocean. We are confident that this distinctive print will make the wearer stand out from the crowd.
At Goia’s request, Fashionizer and their manufacturers are donating 50% of the masks produced to a charity in Rio de Janeiro called Projecto Primeira Chance, whose aim is to attend fewer funerals and more graduations.
The unique and colourful printed fabric is made from 100% cotton, with a middle layer are made from a non-woven fabric for filtration. The lining is 100% cotton with an eco-antibacterial finish, with water and oil resistant properties, as well as a fluorocarbon-free finishing.
As the face mask is the world’s newest “must-have”, the Fashionizer team have created a collection of high-quality, washable face masks in a variety of solid colours with various trims, and are now adding prints. All the masks are made from superior fabrics that can be washed and reused up to 40 times. Mask wash bags are also available to ensure masks are kept clean after use.
