Heat lamps are not just for Christmas

December 20, 2019

As Christmas approaches even the best restaurant kitchens begin to creak under pressure. Restaurant kitchen brigades struggle to find sufficient flat surfaces to cope with busy service periods. Front of house at the same time are eager to ensure every dish is served at optimum temperature. The temperature of any dish is vital to all dining experiences, and lukewarm dishes are costly in all too many ways.

The is no one simple method to ensure all dishes are always served at precisely the right temperature, it is a complex process that is unique to each kitchen. The one simple ingredient that can be adopted by all is the good old fashioned heat lamp.

While any dish is stationary it is losing temperature and only a few degrees can make a significant difference. Heat lamps maintain temperature while dishes are between the brigade completing them and front of house departing the pass for the table.

Like many disciplines of the best run kitchens maintaining temperature under heat lamps is simple and always observed. Heat lamps are also an all year discipline and not just for Christmas.

Hanson Heat Lamps have specialised in providing culinary heat lamps for premium dining establishments all over the world for many years.

Hanson Heat Lamps are available in the UK from Equipline.

For details of Hanson Heat Lamps please contact the friendly team at Equipline or come and see them in action at one of our Open Kitchen Live Events.
