Almarose Hotels & Resorts has today announced the appointment of Bobby Davis as its new Chief People Officer.
Davis brings 24 years of experience working in managerial, HR and organisational development roles across a range of sectors. Her most recent posts include Executive Director of Organisational Development at the General Dental Council, where she developed and executed a rigorous people strategy; and People Strategy Lead at The Law Society, with her role focused on the development of people, including coaching.
Before starting her career in people management and HR, Davis spent eight years as a British Army Officer, building the foundations to her managerial expertise.
Her role at Almarose Hotels & Resorts will see her focusing on attracting new talent as well as developing the careers of its 3,000 people.
On her appointment, Davis told us: “I love tackling a new challenge, so when presented with the opportunity to work in a new industry, in this case hospitality, I had to take it. It comes down to the fact that my focus has always been people and I love to watch them develop.
“I am joining the company at an exciting time as this new role means I can start from scratch and really shape our people processes. I will be drawing on my expertise and previous successes to mould plans, but with the understanding that all businesses work differently and can’t always slot into one formula.
“Since starting, I have been busy recruiting for our people management team and I’m looking forward to introducing a fully collaborative way of working between the hotels and our central team. Almarose Hotels & Resorts is responsible for 20 hotels under three distinct brands so we need to appreciate each hotel will require different support.
“Over the next few months, I’ll be part of the team, shaping and implementing our new values and bringing them to life. Our talent is eager, warm and welcoming and I’m keen to not only help them develop, but to see some of my resourcing campaigns come to life.”
Tim Shearman, CEO, Hotels at Aprirose, added: “Bobby is joining us at an integral time for the business as we move into the next phase of growth and having our people at the centre of this is a core part of our strategy. Our people are very important to us, and we are pleased to have Bobby on board to ensure we empower our teams to continue making memorable guest experiences and help build a pipeline of those who want to work here.”
Almarose Hotels & Resorts is responsible for 20 hotels operating under the QHotels, Doubletree by Hilton and Delta by Marriott brands.
