With Canada Day fast approaching on July 1, Manchester-based importer Morgenrot has bolstered its Canadian selection with the launch of five stunning craft beers from the Unibroue and Okanagan Spring breweries.
The new products are available immediately in a number of different formats and includes the Okanagan 1516 Lager, Okanagan Pale Ale, Unibroue Blanche de Chambly, Unibroue Maudite and Unibroue Fin du Monde.
The Fantastic Five
Okanagan 1516 Lager 5% abv (12 x 355ml can) – Made with just 4 natural ingredients, 1516 is a smooth, no-nonsense kind of lager, from a much less serious kind of place.
Okanagan Pale Ale 5% abv (12 x 355ml can) – In the OK, they like things with a bit of bite, and their Pale Ale’s no different. Not too bitter, just smooth enough, with a nice amber colour.
Unibroue Blanche de Chambly 5% abv (12 x 341ml bottle) – Unibroue’s first beer and the first refermented white beer brewed in the Belgian tradition to be bottled and marketed in North America.
Unibroue Maudite 8% abv (24 x 341ml bottle) – When La Maudite launched, its 8% alcohol content made it the first strong beer brewed in Canada. It’s warm and spicy character, which was unique at the time, called for a blasphemous name.
Unibroue Fin du Monde % abv (24 x 341ml bottle) – To date, La Fin du Monde has earned more medals and awards in major international competitions than any other Canadian beer. It is Unibroue’s international flagship ale.
John Critchley, Morgenrot’s Commercial Director, commented:
“Our world beers form a key part of our portfolio and continue to see strong demand as consumers search out authentic beers offering real provenance from all four corners of the world. Our latest launches from the Okanagan Spring and Unibroue breweries may not that be that well known to the UK consumer yet but are winning awards over the water in Canada for the full-flavoured taste. Alongside our incredible Sleemans brand, we believe these new beers will prove extremely popular on UK shores.”
