It seems like a straight forward enough question and most of us will know the answer before we are even asked, but should it always be the same answer, maybe not. How a steak is cooked, or how well a steak is cooked can depend on a number of things in order to enjoy each steak to the full.
The first choice will normally be the cut, and in most UK eateries that will be rump, sirloin or fillet. But of course, there are many more and some almost demand to be cooked a certain way, well done steak and frites for example not being an option in many French eateries.
We decided to consult Wikipedia and they cite 19 British cut options, here they are. If you are interested in more cut options there are plenty, from Argentinian to Turkish and many more in between. They are on the same Wikipedia page as the British options linked to just above.
So, now we have started to investigate we are letting you, the readers of H&C News develop this page further. If you have an opinion, view or information that builds on this please use comments on this Facebook post.
We will consider all content and add as we think contributes to a rounded view of how best to enjoy steak.
