Bill’s announce new look sites and good start to 2019

April 17, 2019

Casual restaurant group Bill’s announces their next wave of new look sites with a further 11 upgraded restaurants in Q2 2019 kicking off in Leeds, and 10 further restaurants throughout the UK.

The news comes off the back of consistent performance ahead of the market since Q4 2018, and a very successful Q1 2019 trading period. March saw like-for-like sales of 12.2% across the group, which is 8.6% ahead of the Coffer Peach Restaurant Tracker.

Bill’s has already converted 13 of their restaurants to the upgraded format and these restaurants are all significantly outperforming the rest of the estate in L4L sales, proving that the new looks are a big hit with customers. This latest wave will take the total number of upgraded restaurants to 24 by summer.

The opening of the new look restaurants across the group is being meticulously overseen by founder, Bill Collison, who said: “My aim with the aesthetics is to create a welcoming and vibrant environment that transcends all dining times, but importantly provides a trusted space that customers feel comfortable in to have an evening meal.” This design focus has resulted in increased dinner sales in the 13 restaurants which have already been relaunched.

David Campbell, Executive Chairman of Bill’s, says, “The last six months have seen strong growth for Bill’s as we have renewed our focus on healthy and indulgent seasonal food. The interior of the restaurants is also integral to our customer’s experience, and so, with the current new look sites outperforming the rest of the estate, we are obviously keen to expand the programme. We are also looking at some exciting new locations for Bill’s.

Bill and I continue to be impressed with how our teams in the restaurants deliver a brilliant customer experience, and the results of this are clearly driving record growth across all sites. We are very proud of everyone in the company for the hard work they have put in, especially over the last six months, and the great results they continue to achieve.”
