Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group – sales team promotions

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Arabella El Barkouki and Aiman Roujouleh as Vice Presidents Sales in Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Following the promotion of Jill Kluge Chief Marketing Officer of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, new deployments and promotions are underway to strengthen the sales organisation of the brand.

Arabella El Barkouki, Vice President Sales, Europe has been promoted to Regional Vice President Sales, Europe effective 1 January 2019. Arabella will continue to oversee the Regional Sales Offices in London, Paris and Frankfurt, the sales representation in Moscow and will provide strategic sales support to the hotels in the region. Arabella El Barkouki first joined the Group in November 2015 overseeing the three regional offices in Europe that include London, Paris and Frankfurt. She was then promoted to Regional Director of Sales, Europe in July 2017.

A seasoned professional with extensive experience in the luxury hotel industry; prior to joining Mandarin Oriental, El Barkouki spent over 12 years in senior Sales roles including Director of Sales & Marketing for Le Richemond in Geneva, Regional Director of Sales for Dorchester Collection and Director of Sales at Four Seasons Canary Wharf, London. British born El Barkouki holds a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages and European Literature and speaks fluent French and is conversational in Italian and Arabic.

Aiman Roujouleh has also been promoted to Vice President Sales, Middle East and Turkey, to support the expansion of the group in the Middle East region. Aiman Roujouleh joined the brand in April 2012 as Regional Director of Sales Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain and was promoted to Regional Director of Sales, Middle East and Turkey in February 2015. As part of his new position, also effective 1 January 2019, Aiman Roujouleh will continue to oversee the two RSO offices in Riyadh and Dubai.

Prior to his tenure with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Aiman held various successful positions in Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, including being an Associate Regional Director of Sales for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, based in Saud Arabia. Aiman Roujouleh has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hospitality) from the Hotel Business School ‘Les Roches’, Bluche, Switzerland. A Syrian national he is fluent in Arabic, English and French.

Emily Snyder, Group Vice President, Global Sales commented on the promotions: “Aiman and Arabella have made significant contributions to the Group. They not only serve as our brand ambassadors in their respective regions but also drive revenues in our core and developing markets. With an exciting pipeline of hotels to open in key destinations around the world, the group will continue to benefit from their extensive knowledge and understanding of the brand as well as their experience and expertise”.
