Angelina Chua has been appointed as General Manager at Sopwell House Hotel & Spa in St Albans, one of the UK’s most prestigious country house estates.
Having commenced her career in hospitality over 20 years ago, Angelina’s vast experience encompasses roles in Sales and Event Management, Food & Beverage and Hotel Operations, spanning locations such the Middle East, Asia and USA.
Prior to joining Sopwell House, Angelina was at the helm of Stapleford Park Hotel and Sporting Estate, where she was responsible for the strategic commercial and operational direction of the hotel, spa and country club for six years.
Angelina also brings with her a wealth of knowledge and international experience having been Director of Operations at Marriott Hanbury Manor Hotel and Country Club; Director of Food & Beverage at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel; Director of Restaurants at the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club in Hawaii; Restaurant Manager at The Ritz-Carlton in Doha, Qatar; and Corporate Sales and Event Manager at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In addition to being multi-lingual, Angelina also has a Masters of Employment Laws, Bachelor of Laws, Batchelor of Commerce, as well as holding a Graduate Diploma in Hotel Management.
