After creating quite a stir since its launch, artisan baker Speciality Breads is expecting its Scioche™ to continue its rise this festive season as the time for indulging gets closer.
Blitzing baking boundaries, the Scioche™ combines Speciality Breads’ award-winning brioche recipe with the most loved elements of a traditional scone to offer the best of both bakes.
An ingenious solution to the foodservice problem of finding a superb quality frozen scone, the unique Scioche™ is the brainchild of Speciality Breads’ MD Simon Cannell, who commented:
“The Scioche™ continues to generate a buzz wherever it goes and with the time for treats and celebration arriving soon, we expect the Scioche™ to have a big season. Unique, quirky, versatile, great tasting – forget whether it’s jam or cream first, ditch the scone and get your Scioche™ on.”
SCIOCHE™ (ORIGINAL)
A glazed top, packed with a generous amount of fruit and a buttery inside, this is so much more than a scone! Either split and top with cream and jam or toast and serve with stewed fruit. The Scioche™ contains no preservatives so they are best eaten on the same day they are bought or defrosted.
SCIOCHE™ (SICILIAN LEMON & POPPYSEED)
A new product deserves a new flavour so this beauty is made with zesty Sicilian lemons and packed with poppy seeds. An incredibly versatile product, it’s beautiful when served with clotted cream, lemon curd and topped with blueberries but it also lends itself well to being served toasted and topped with savoury.
Established in 1996 in Margate, Speciality Breads provides an ever-growing, artisan selection of over 100 freshly frozen breads, which are hand-made by the company’s master bakers using Red Tractor-certified British flour. The company distributes its products to a UK-wide network of wholesalers, who in turn supply leading restaurants, pubs, cafés, caterers and hotels throughout the UK.
