The Red Carnation Hotel Collection is the first company in the hospitality sector to work with Pearson College London to fund students’ university Business Studies degrees, plus offer real-life work experience in the hotel industry. Big name brands in other industries which are also partnering with Pearson College to offer young people an opportunity to learn and earn include BBC, Mondelez and L’Oreal.
As part of the 2017 Apprenticeship Levy, Red Carnation has selected six passionate individuals who have recently completed their A-Levels to be part of the hotel collection’s very first Degree Apprenticeship programme. The students will work four days a week and attend lectures at Pearson College on the fifth day.
The Degree Apprenticeship provides an incredible opportunity for young people to experience business in action, while also learning the course theories and finally graduating with a Business Studies undergraduate degree, funded by the hotel collection. Every participant is paid a yearly salary, with the opportunity for this to be increased dependent on performance and progress. The participants will finish their Degree Apprenticeship with Red Carnation debt free from student fees, as the hotel collection will fund the cost of their Business Studies degree.
