Leisure operator Cairn Group has bolstered its talented workforce, making a number of senior appointments and promotions in time for the busy festive party season.
The group owns and operates 33 hotels and more than 30 bars and restaurants around the UK, and has welcomed several new faces and filled opportunities by fast-tracking some top performers.
At the Old Ship Hotel in Brighton, Jason Bramwell has stepped up to become general manager from deputy manager. In his new role he will oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel, ensuring guests’ expectations are both met and exceeded during a stay in the seaside city.
Another former deputy manager taking the helm is Hotel Indigo Edinburgh Princes Street’s Sarah Davidson. Having swiftly progressed through various management roles in departments from front of house to food and beverage, Sarah has grown to know both the hotel and Scotland’s capital city inside out.
After a successful year as general manager at Mercure Darlington Kings Hotel, Stuart Lloyd has relocated to Holiday Inn Scotch Corner also as general manager, with a focus on delivering excellent service and guest satisfaction. Opening up the leadership position at Mercure Darlington Kings Hotel, John Price has joined the team in place of Stuart, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge from working in the hospitality industry for his entire career.
Elsewhere, Cheryl Broadley has joined Holiday Inn Express Wakefield as general manager, having worked across several of Cairn Group’s properties, and David Jones who heads up Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross in Slough has taken a dual role to oversee the smooth running of nearby Stoke Place in Buckinghamshire.
Richard Adams, HR director at Cairn Group said: “At Cairn Group our employees are at the heart of our operations, making our properties desirable places to stay whether on business or for leisure. We heavily focus on staff development and encourage progression, recognising hard work and enthusiasm. It’s fantastic to see members of the team take the next steps in their careers with us, as well as welcome experienced individuals into the business who we are very excited to have on board.”
