PizzaExpress have today launched their new Autumn menu seeing the introduction of new vegan dishes, and a return of some classics.
Due to the success of the vegan range, more vegan options will be available including the Vegan Puttanesca – a vegan pizza on a thin Romana base. The dessert menu also sees increased vegan options with the addition of a vegan Carrot Cake, complete with dairy-free icing.
There is also good news for all diners avoiding gluten as all Al Forno dishes will now be made with gluten-free pasta. For diners looking for a good source of fibre, the Leggera pizza range, will now be available on a wholemeal dough base.
In advance of the launch we spoke with Timothy Love, Senior Marketing Manager at PizzaExpress to gain insight to the rationale driving menu change at PizzaExpress.
Timothy Love, Senior Marketing Manager at PizzaExpress explained:
“Considering that almost a third of all evening meals eaten in the UK are now vegetarian or vegan and over a fifth (22%) of the population is actively choosing gluten-free foods, it’s no surprise to see this consumer behaviour driving restaurant meal choices.
“With over 20 delicious toppings to choose from, plus the option of having a gluten-free base – we are proud to offer a wider variety of dishes suitable for every taste and lifestyle choice; ensuring that we are offering the best PizzaExpress experience for all customers.”
