easyHotel opens in Reading in partnership with the Splendid Hospitality Group

September 6, 2018

A new 53-room super-budget easyHotel is set to open in Reading on 6 September 2018. Splendid Hospitality Group has constructed the hotel, and will operate it under a franchise agreement from easyHotel.

The hotel will be headed by newly-appointed general manager Ignacy Mirkowicz, who has extensive experience in the hotel trade. He will oversee the running of the stylish low-cost hotel and will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the hotel and staff.

Featuring a simple and elegant design with all the essential comforts including air-conditioning, heating and en-suite showers, the hotel provides the perfect base for both leisure and business travellers looking for low cost accommodation in Reading.

easyHotel’s central location on Caversham Road is just a short walk from key Reading destinations including the globally-renowned Reading Festival, The Oracle shopping centre, and Madjeski Stadium. Nearby Reading station has excellent train links to London, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

CEO of Splendid Hospitality Group, Stuart Bailey, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming an entirely new brand and concept to our rapidly expanding portfolio of independent and branded hotels. The opening of EasyHotel Reading will appeal to those seeking good-value accommodation and allow guests to explore more of their destination than ever before.”

Chief Executive Officer easyHotel Guy Parsons, commented: “We are delighted to be opening easyHotel in Reading, a popular business and tourist destination in the heart of the thriving Thames Valley. easyHotel’s ethos is all about low-cost stays in major business and tourist destinations, enabling guests to keep money in their purses and wallets to spend on local attractions. This exciting project takes easyHotel’s network of UK and international locations to 30, with further openings imminent.”
