Two employees of Aramark Northern Europe have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to the company at Aramark’s third annual Star of Excellence Awards in Dallas. Allison Buchanan, Director of Operations UK and Chef Derek Reilly, Culinary Director, Ireland were recognised for their outstanding contribution to the company in the areas of serving with passion and demonstrating integrity and respect.
The global corporation employs over 270,000 people worldwide and more than 16,000 people in Northern Europe, which demonstrates the fantastic achievement of Allison in being presented with a Star of Excellence Award by Eric Foss, CEO of Aramark.
Started in 2015, the Star of Excellence award recognises employees for their dedication and hard work. The Awards, which were recently held at an awards dinner in Dallas, are the company’s highest recognition, celebrating and honouring extraordinary team members from around the globe in universities, hospitals, sports venues, and in businesses of all kinds as the heartbeat of the global provider of facilities management, food services and property.

On receiving her award for the category of Serving with Passion Allison Buchanan, Director of Operations UK said “To be nominated and shortlisted for this award was an honour and a great achievement. I am just completely overjoyed to have won. I enjoy my job. Every day is different, challenging, but ultimately rewarding. The passion I have, I share with my team, so without them my role would not be possible.”
