On Sunday 1st July Gary Usher and his full team will be celebrating Social Sunday in each of the four restaurants including Sticky Walnut, Burnt Truffle, Wreckfish and Hispi, in conjunction with Hospitality Action and The Social Company, to raise funds to support those who have worked in the hospitality industry and find themselves in crisis.
For three years, Jason Atherton has run his Social Sunday event to raise funds for Hospitality Action with the aim to unite the UK’s restaurant community in July to help transform hospitality lives. The concept is simple: Jason, a patron and trustee of Hospitality in Action, opens all of his London restaurants for a Sunday lunch service, with all proceeds going directly to the charity. This year, the concept is going nationwide, with chefs and restaurateurs across the country supporting Social Sunday on 1 July and celebrating the generosity of the UK hospitality industry and its customers.
All of the Elite Bistro’s will be hosting a ‘Social Sunday Supper’ with a special 5 course menu, where the ticket covers the cost of the menu and drinks are payable on the night, with all profits going to this important charity. The evening will start at 7pm with guests seated on communal tables, in keeping with the social aspect of the evening and an optional drinks flight will also be available.
